CHIPPING
Sometimes your approach shot lands short of the green but near it. You cannot use your putter because the grass is slightly rougher. Think of chipping as a long putt. The mechanics are the same as putting.

Aim as if you are making a putt. Note the breaks and possible hazards. | Remember to complete the follow through and do not stop at impact. | ||||||||||||||
Posture | |||||||||||||||
1. Weight is more on the front foot. | 2. Sweep the grass beneath the ball similar to a putting stroke with a short pull back. | ||||||||||||||
